This season, Pula will once again become the centre of cultural events in Croatia thanks to the Pula Summer of Culture, sponsored, among others, by Valamar Riviera. From 30 May to 24 August, the renovated Small Roman Theatre will host a diverse array of artists from around the world, blending various genres such as jazz, classical music, opera, and contemporary music. The programme is impressive, fostering cultural diversity in public spaces.

A highlight of the festival is the three-day Jazz Waves festival, featuring outstanding local and international jazz stars, including this year’s Grammy winner Miguel Zenón. Following this, there will be concerts by symphony orchestras and professional choirs, as well as a performance of the opera Madama Butterfly in the Arena by the Slovenian National Theatre from Ljubljana. Other notable events include concerts by the Thievery Corporation duo, the musical collective Laibach, the French ethno band Plantec, and jazz star Gonzalo Rubalcaba with his trio.
