11–16 March 2025
The oldest international tennis tournament in Croatia, Istarska Rivijera, will be held again this year from March 11 to 16 in Poreč. Pre-qualifications start on March 6, and the hosts of the tournament will once again be Valamar's facilities - Tennis Centre Pical and Tennis Centre Diamant.
This traditional tournament, part of the ITF series, represents the first step in men's professional tennis, hosting hundreds of young tennis players who have the opportunity to play in strong international competition. Many successful tennis players have won their first ATP points at Istarska Rivijera, including Goran Ivanišević, one of the most famous names in this sport in Croatia. Ivan Ljubičić, Thomas Muster, Petr Korda, and many others also took their first professional steps at the Istarska Rivijera.
Istarska Rivijera is not just a tennis tournament but a symbol of sports excellence and cultural heritage in Croatia. For over half a century, this prestigious event has not only attracted the world's best tennis players but has also become an indispensable part of the Croatian sports calendar. Its presence enriches the tourist offer of Poreč and the wider region, promoting Croatia as a destination that nurtures sports values, international cooperation, and friendship. The Istrian Riviera gathers people from different parts of the world every year, creating a multicultural and dynamic environment that transcends the boundaries of the tennis court. This tournament, besides the sporting spirit, encourages sports enthusiasts and tourists to explore the beauties of Croatia and enjoy the rich cultural diversity the country offers.
