Advent in Krk

This year, from December 1st to December 31st, 2024, the city of Krk will once again be the venue for a series of events inspired by the spirit of Advent, dedicated to audiences of different generations and interests. To make the experience truly special, a rich cultural and entertainment program will be paired with an equally impressive array of culinary delights.

 

Now in its fourth year, this event aims to make the holiday season in Krk even more joyful and enjoyable. It is organized by the Krk City Tourist Board and the Krk City Cultural Center, with essential support from the City of Krk and Vecle, who ensure the city is beautifully decorated each year.

 

During the Advent season, all visitors to the city will be greeted not only by lights and decorations but also by content intended for children, concerts by renowned Croatian musicians, children's choirs, and music workshop participants.

 

In addition to the cultural and entertainment program, city visitors will surely indulge in the festive gastronomic offerings. At five Advent houses, they can expect well-known holiday dishes such as sausages, cabbage, grilled meats, and various types of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs, as well as some traditional island delicacies like pickled vegetables, lamb offal, beans with sausage, or sandwiches with local cheese. The holiday season will be sweetened with fritters, fragrant waffles, pancakes with ricotta and homemade jam, and alongside delicious dishes, there will be a diverse selection of drinks available, including mulled wine, gin, rum or whiskey, winter cocktails, various beers, as well as hot apple juice and various teas.
